The Place to Be Social Club (Genesee County)
The Social Club is a drop in center for individuals ages 18 and older with a mental health diagnosis. Members receive peer support and establish friendships. Members explore their creativity through art, cooking, music, games and more. Life skills building, support groups, weekly wellness workshops, advocacy and referral services are provided. Social Club hours are:
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Friday 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Drop-In Center (Orleans County)
The Orleans County MHA will provide a drop-in-center for individuals to get together in a safe environment, talk with peers, share information, support one another and establish friendships. The Drop-In Center will provide a variety of recreational activities as well as skill building and educational opportunities. For more information, please call (585) 589-1158.
Drop-In Center hours are:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • Friday 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Transportation (Genesee & Orleans Counties)
Transportation is provided for Social Club & Drop-In Center participants. Participants can utilize transportation provided by the MHA to and from Social Club, Drop-In Center, appointments, local shopping and other places as needed.

Warm Line
The Warm Line is a peer to peer phone service that offers support and encouragement to callers from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Advocacy
The Mental Health Association takes a person centered approach when assisting an individual in attaining a service or meeting a goal. We incorporate members in the process by providing resources and teaching communication skills.

 

Visions of Hope Recovery Center
Visions of Hope Recovery Center is a peer-driven program designed to assist individuals in Genesee and Orleans Counties in finding their “spark of life” through support and encouragement from a trained peer guide. Together they work on a self-focused plan toward wellness and a healthy empowered life. Individuals will focus on personal strengths and interests, to connect and/or reconnect with the community which will align with their own personalized recovery journey.  For more information, please call us at: (585) 344-2611 Ext 203
