Medicaid Managed Care Services for HARP Members (Niagara, Genesee & Orleans Counties)

Adult Community Oriented Recovery & Empowerment (CORE) Peer Support, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Family Supports are available on self-referral or on referral by any organization or professional. Recovery Center (Genesee & Orleans Counties)

Our Peer Guides offer support and encouragement to assist adults self-manage mental wellness, become more meaningfully integrated into the community, and find their “spark of life.” Staff follow the Mental Health America “It’s My Life: Peer Partners” curriculum to reduce mental-health related isolation and social exclusion by guiding participants to build social networks, participate more fully in their home communities, improve their social functioning, and achieve their chosen quality of life goals. Our Recovery Center also offers family support following the MHA in New York State “CarePath” curriculum of information, education, and support to families of persons with mental health concerns who are in the process of transition from one care setting to another. Social Club (25 Liberty Street, Batavia, NY)

Open M/W/R/F afternoons from 12:00pm – 4:00pm and M/T/F evenings from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, this program assists adults with mental illness develop or reestablish their self-esteem and group affiliation, promotes recovery, and facilitates reintegration into community life through social-leisure rehabilitation, training, and other supports. Drop-In Center (243 South Main Street, Albion, NY)

Open M/W/R/F afternoons from 12:00pm – 4:00pm plus on Mondays from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, this program serves adults with mental health concerns in a low-demand, flexible, and unstructured environment. Peer support, resource information, and recovery support are offered in a manner that is responsive to a participants’ individual needs. Contact our Drop-In Center Coordinator at (585) 589-1158.

Transportation (Genesee & Orleans Counties)

Transportation is provided free of charge to adults with mental health concerns so they are able to reduce isolation and experience a fuller and more effective integration into community life. Transportation is provided to and from our Recovery Center, Social Club, and Drop-In Center programs as well as for personal appointments, local shopping, and other destinations as needed. Call our Transportation Coordinator at (585) 813-0026 in our Genesee County office or our Drop-In Center Coordinator at (585) 589-1158 in Orleans County.

Advocacy (Genesee & Orleans Counties)

Our staff provide a variety of activities, daily living skills training, and education about mental health services through support groups, workshops, peer services, and referral to assist adults with mental health concerns promote their rights, resolve complaints, and access services/supports of their choice. Our staff also advocate by participating in community committees for solutions on a systemic basis.

Warm Line (Genesee & Orleans Counties)

Our Warm Line is a peer to peer, non-crisis telephone service providing support and encouragement to adults with mental health concerns. It operates seven evenings per week, excluding holidays, from 5:00pm – 8:30 pm, when traditional supports are often unavailable. Warm Line volunteers receive training, supervision, and a stipend for each completed shift. Call the Warm Line at (585) 813-0072.
